下面一段是从Ohio State University的Physics Career Office主页上摘录的：

I am often asked "what is the difference between a CVand a resume?"A quick,but accurate answer is that a resume describes yourskills while a CV lists your accomplishments. Some other points to note arethat your resume is never complete. It must be adapted for almost every jobthat you apply for. Avoid the mass mailing look that a very general objectiveand irrelevant content can give. For your first draft, you should write downall your skills and accomplishments. Make sure to catch all the details. Then startcutting and saving under different names such as Resume1, Resume2…. Same withcover letters and CVs.

For the resumes examples which follow try to pick out thosewhich are targeting a job and those that are general. Note that these peoplehave a number of different resumes for different job descriptions.
